SJECC Class/Program Options

The following Early Childhood Programs are offered at St. Jerome E.C.C. All children registered in our program are accepted with an initial probationary period as administration and staff determine the appropriateness of placement in this school venue. Children in our three and four year old programs must be completely toilet-learned.

VPK
Voluntary Pre-kindergarten is a state funded program which provides 540 hours of preschool for eligible 4 year old children. . St. Jerome ECC is has been a VPK provider from its inception in 2005..  Additional days are available to our four year old families with private pay.

Extended Day Program

The following extended day hours are also offered during the school week:

  •  8:00am- 9:00am     (7:30, if sufficient enrollment warrants)
  • 12:15pm - 3:00pm
  • 12:15pm - 5:00pm    (5:30, if sufficient enrollment warrants)


Children enrolled in ALL AGE GROUPS may participate in extended care.  Three time options exist in the Extended Day Program; billing will be based on which option is chosen.  Discounted rates apply to those who choose a "routine daily schedule" (staying the same days and hours each week).  Between the hours of 12:15 and 3:00pm, extended day children will have lunch, a rest period, and an outside playtime.  Children staying beyond 3:00pm will have an afternoon snack. time, an outside time and additional varied activities.    Space permitting, with teacher/child ratios, children may choose to say on an infrequent (as needed) basis provided that families notify the office two days prior to the day your child plans to stay.

Summer Program

St. Jerome Early Childhood Center offers a Summer Program for a number of weeks each summer.  Children may attend as many or as few weeks as you need. Our Summer Program will be staffed with our current ECC staff and additional summer staff.
