Educational background and experience in early childhood:

I attended the Defiance College with focus in Criminal Justice.  I hold a CDAE with the state of Florida.  I have been working as an Assistant Teacher for the 4 year-olds at St. Jerome ECC for 4 years.

The circumstances that brought me to St. Jerome ECC:

I realized I was interested in teaching when I volunteered at my youngest son's kindergarten classroom for the entire school year. I was their unofficial assistant! I spent time doing small groups and computer classes. I loved it! My friend, Donna Croteau, suggested I seek employment at St. Jerome ECC since I enjoyed working with young children so much. The rest is history!

Length of time working at St. Jerome ECC:

I began working at St. Jerome ECC in 2006.

Hobbies or interests:

My family and I love to go to the beach, explore Florida's natural wonders, and travel to Orlando.

Philosophy of early childhood education:

I believe the goal of the early childhood education center is to provide a loving, safe, enriching, and nurturing environment for young children. The education and socialization of young minds is extremely important, as they formulate their thoughts and ideas at this early age. I believe it is important to create a secure environment while making learning fun. I love that I work at a Catholic school, as faith is a strong foundation for their future.
