SJECC Classes

The following Early Childhood Programs are offered at St. Jerome E.C.C. All children registered in our program are accepted with an initial probationary period as administration and staff determine the appropriateness of placement in this school venue. Children in our three and four year old programs must be completely toilet-trained.

VPK

Voluntary Pre-kindergarten is a state program which allows eligible 4 year old children to attend our 3 hour porgram at no cost to families. Four years ago, St. Jerome Early Childhood Center took a leap of faith and made the decision to participate in this program and is planning to participate in the VPK program for the 2009-10 school year.

Extended Day Program

The following extended day hours are also offered during the school week:

• 8:00am - 9:00am
• 12:00pm - 2:00pm
• 12:00pm - 3:30pm

Three time-options exist in the Extended Day Program; billing will be based on one of those three options. Between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm, extended day children will have lunch and an outside playtime. Children staying beyond 2:00pm will have a rest hour and an afternoon snack. Space permitting, with teacher/child ratios, children may choose to stay on an infrequent basis provided that families notify the office two days prior to the day your child plans to stay.   Children enrolled in the 3 year old or 4 year old program may partcipate in extended care. Children in our 2 year old program may use the Extended Day program once they turn three years of age and are completely toilet trained.

Summer Camp

St. Jerome Early Childhood Center offers three weeks of summer camp. Children may attend one, two, or three weeks. Camp will be staffed with a number of our current ECC staff. Camp is offered Monday- Thursday from 9:00am- 2:00pm. A morning snack will be provided; though the children will need to bring their own lunch.
